This sequence is the reverse of the natural order proposed by orgonomy: fundamental physical functions determine biological functions, which in turn contribute to the formation of social phenomena and psychic functions.

The social realm is thus considered older and deeper than the psychic realm. Psychic life is influenced by both biological structure and the environment and society, a reading that connects the two poles traditionally called nature and nurture.
